Administrator for Maritime and Aviation Affairs

Do you have experience working with maritime or aviation issues? We are looking for an engaged and knowledgeable administrator who wants to work with complex issues and collaborate with stakeholders both nationally and internationally.

Your Workday – Sweden's Tomorrow

The tasks mainly involve handling issues within the maritime and aviation sectors. The responsibilities will largely have an international profile, which means being active in the EU's work within maritime and aviation affairs by preparing and participating in negotiations in the Council of Ministers, as well as working within other regional and international forums such as the UN organizations for shipping and aviation, IMO and ICAO. Regulatory development, both national and international, is a central part of the responsibilities. The work involves travel within and outside the country.

The work is carried out in collaboration with other units and secretariats within the Ministry of Rural Affairs and Infrastructure, but also with other parts of the Government Offices and in dialogue with external stakeholders.

You will also handle tasks within the framework of the Government Offices' administrative work by preparing incoming cases, preparing responses to questions and interpellations from the parliament, and producing other materials for the political leadership of the Ministry of Rural Affairs and Infrastructure.

Your Background and Competence

• A relevant academic degree as deemed appropriate by the Government Offices.
• Several years of current experience in administrative tasks within maritime or aviation.
• The ability to express yourself fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

It is advantageous if you also have:

• Experience from working within the Government Offices or a relevant authority.
• Current and relevant experience in regulatory development and negotiation work, preferably from an international environment.
• Experience of working within or with EU institutions or UN agencies.

Employment Conditions

Fixed-term employment until July 31, 2027. Start as soon as possible, by agreement. A security clearance will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
